Practice

Wordle Practice

Unlimited Wordle practice

The official puzzle gives you one word a day. This practice board deals a fresh five-letter word every single round, so you can keep playing as long as you like — perfect for warming up before the daily puzzle or just enjoying a few extra games. Your official streak is never touched, and no word here will ever spoil today's answer.

How to play

You have six guesses to find the hidden word. After each guess the tiles flip to show how close you were: green means the letter is correct and in the right spot, yellow means it belongs to the word but sits somewhere else, and grey means it is not in the word at all.

The repeated-letter rule

If a letter appears twice in your guess but only once in the answer, only one copy lights up and the other stays grey — a small detail that trips up a lot of players and is well worth watching for.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does practice affect my Wordle streak?
No. This board is completely separate from the official New York Times game — play as many rounds as you like and your streak stays exactly as it was.
Where do the practice words come from?
From a large dictionary of common five-letter words. Every round picks a new one at random, so no two games have to be the same.
Can a practice word be today's answer?
The practice words are kept separate from the daily puzzle, so nothing you see here reveals today's official answer.
